Your details, looked after.
Waitlist privacy.
Last updated 2 November 2026 · Notice version 2026-11-01
This notice covers the Bits & Bobs website waitlist. The app is in development. Joining the list does not create an app account or upload anything from your home.
Who looks after the list?
The Bits & Bobs team operates this waitlist. David is the contact for questions about your information: [email protected].
What we collect and why
When you choose to join, we store your email address, the time you gave consent and the version of this notice. We use these to send one email when Bits & Bobs is ready to try and to keep a record of your request. We rely on your consent. You do not need to join to browse the website.
There is no newsletter subscription, advertising profile or sale of your details. The signup service does not store your IP address in the waitlist. It uses short-lived, in-memory request counters to limit automated submissions.
Where your details are held
The list is stored in a private database on our DigitalOcean server, managed through Coolify. Cloudflare provides the website’s DNS, connection security and caching; signup requests pass through Cloudflare to our server. These providers may process technical connection information as part of operating their services. The list is not published on the website or stored in our public-facing source code.
We have not connected a mailing provider yet. Before sending the launch update, we will select a provider that processes addresses for that purpose and update this notice with any material changes.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries expire after 12 months. You can ask us to remove yours sooner by emailing [email protected] from the address you used to sign up.
Your choices
You can withdraw consent, ask for access to the details we hold about you, correct your email address or ask us to delete your entry. Contact David using the email above. You can also raise a concern with your local data protection authority; in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and third-party content
This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not embed third-party tracking scripts. Fonts, illustrations and app images are served by this website. A future change that introduces optional tracking will need its own explanation and choices.
